3xLOGIC has launched its new NVR-1U-16CH network video recorder (NVR) designed for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

According to the company, the network video recorder is ideal for companies operating in commercial, educational, healthcare and warehouse and distribution environments that need more than an eight-channel NVR but less than a full enterprise server.

3xLOGIC reveals that the NVR-1U-16CH provides remote viewing, while unlocking advanced cloud capabilities via VIGIL CLOUD, giving organizations a scalable solution that is easy to monitor and maintain.

The 16-channel NVR is reportedly ideal for new installations as well as retrofitting existing systems to bring legacy infrastructure into the cloud or increase video analytics and unified security capabilities.

Integration with 3xLOGIC’s VIGIL Suite, SONITROL CORE and PACOM VIGIL CORE, as well as other third-party platforms, delivers a unified experience.

Connecting to the cloud

3xLOGIC says that a VIGIL CLOUD plugin enables remote access to the network video recorder along with video clip sharing, health monitoring and more through the VIGIL CLOUD ecosystem.

This allows operators to be in control from anywhere with Internet access, saving time and making operations more efficient.

The NVR can also be used as a gateway to the cloud for cameras from 3xLOGIC or other IP cameras.

According to the company, the NVR-1U-16CH is a Linux/Windows OS based embedded power over Ethernet (PoE) 1U professional grade network video recorder.

It features built-in PoE ports for direct camera connections with a compact, embedded design that simplifies installation with no external PoE switch required.

“We built the NVR-1U-16CH to meet the needs of today’s evolving video surveillance environments,” explained Mike Poe, Director, Product Management at 3xLOGIC.

“With the ability to monitor and power up to 16 cameras through the NVR, small and medium-sized businesses now have a scalable option that is easy to maintain and cost-effective for their new installations or retrofitting and modernizing existing ones.”
