3xLOGIC has unveiled VIGIL 13, the latest software and camera release for 3xLOGIC’s Video Management solution.
According to the company, the release adds many powerful features to the 3xLOGIC line-up, including edge-based deep learning analytics to improve response times, situational awareness and investigations.
The new release
With this release, 3xLOGIC offers Automatic Name Plate Recognition (ANPR), anti-loitering, perimeter protection, remote analytics configuration support and edge-based deep learning analytics features.
Features
Control in one system
- VIGIL is a scalable on-premises video management platform that offers high-level security and data-based insights to support organizations in making data-backed decisions, improving operational efficiency and effectively managing their security systems
- VIGIL offers a complete video management solution for businesses
- It integrates with the user’s existing security setup, providing high-quality cameras, recorders, analytics and access control in one system
Edge-based analytics
- Featuring real-time alerts and customizable alarm management, VIGIL 13 offers person, vehicle and object analytics at the Edge, which reduces storage and bandwidth requirements as analytics are performed on the cameras themselves
- Object, people and vehicle trackers accurately detect and track people, types of vehicles and selected objects in dense and busy scenes, making this solution perfect for retailers, convenience stores, warehouse and distribution centers, schools and commercial offices
- Edge-based deep learning utilizes appearance-based models and is trained to locate objects, persons and vehicles more accurately than solely motion-based solutions
- Deep learning algorithms constantly improve based on detected objects, increasing accuracy over time
- False alarms from moving foliage, wildlife and lighting or weather conditions are reduced, improving operator efficiency and reducing fatigue
- Once an object is detected, cameras can continuously track and analyze an object’s movements, using predictive analysis to notify operators and inform them of complex behaviors in cases where detecting a person, object or vehicle is vital
- Once an object begins tracking, a unique ID is assigned that stays with the object in the field of view
- The ability to set up zones, presence lines and directional interactions provides flexibility and performance in identification and notifications
Intelligent traffic management
- These include a new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) solution, which captures license plates from up to 60 feet away, at speeds of 75 mph (120 km/h) and the vehicle’s make, model and color recognition
- The company states that this feature is ideal for security and access control for gated communities and car parks, parking management for automated entry and exit or integrated payments and convenience stores, retailers and gas stations for pump access automation or customer loyalty programs
Robust perimeter protection
- VIGIL 13 also offers an anti-loitering and perimeter protection solution to strengthen end-users’ perimeters and prevent unwanted activities on-site
- Powered by 3xLOGIC’s Edge-Based Deep Learning Cameras and VIGIL Server, this solution accurately detects unauthorized behavior such as loitering, intrusion or illegal dumping while delivering targeted, real-time alerts to ensure timely action
- Ideal for schools, convenience stores, retailers, warehouses and distribution centers, operators using VIGIL 13 can identify and respond to illegal and dangerous activities outside of their sites
“A pivotal shift in the industry”
Mike Poe, VIGIL Product Manager, 3xLOGIC said: “VIGIL 13 marks a pivotal shift in the industry with the scale of its edge-based advanced analytics for improved object detection, reduced false alarms, data-informed traffic management and effective perimeter protection.
“The deep learning models and datasets used to train VIGIL 13 are specific to the use cases our end-users experience in the real world, not publicly sourced data, making them highly accurate and trained to industry-specific fields of view and environments.
Poe concluded: “Organizations that invest in VIGIL 13 will experience immediate boosts to their precision and awareness.”
