ACRE has announced that Don Joos will join the ACRE executive team as the company’s new CEO, effective May 23 2022.

Joos is a proven and experienced technology leader who is well-positioned to lead ACRE through its next phase of growth.

“Don joins the company at a pivotal time and is primed to deliver great leadership capacity to cover more ground, assess more opportunities, and speed decision making to best serve customers,” said Tzachi Wiesenfeld, Chairman of the Board of Directors, ACRE.

“As a veteran leader with experience in the dynamics of the high-tech markets, Don will play an integral role in furthering our geographic and target market reach. I couldn’t be happier to have him on board as we capture significant opportunities to help our customers secure their world.”

“I’d also like to thank Joe Grillo for his tremendous contribution to ACRE, as the founder of the business back in 2012 and its CEO ever since,” he continued. “We wish him the best in his future endeavours. Together, all of us are excited about ACRE’s future and are enthusiastic about capitalizing on growth opportunities in the years ahead.”

Grillo founded ACRE Operating Group as a platform to consolidate acquisitions in the electronic security industry. Since that time, Grillo has completed seven acquisitions globally. Grillo was known for his long-term association with HID, serving as National Sales Manager in the early 1990s, then participating in a management buyout of the business in 1995 from Hughes Aircraft/General Motors.

Joos is a creative leader with a proven track record of building and modernising businesses through mergers, acquisitions, and innovative growth plays. He is a central driving force for global companies and works to consistently deliver customer, stakeholder and shareholder value.

Joos served as President and CEO at TPx Communications and previously had the same role at PGi, both Siris portfolio companies. He worked his way from Vice President of Global Services to ShoreTel’s President and CEO during a six-year tenure. Previously, he was Vice President of Global Services at Avaya.

“Safety and security are a primary focus for organizations across the globe, and ACRE is ideally positioned to take hold of tremendous growth opportunities,” Joos said. “I look forward to helping shape the company’s future and accelerate the outcomes we can drive for partners and customers while strengthening our industry leadership.”
