Can you introduce yourselves and your roles?

Jody Russell (JR): Absolutely. I’m Jody Russell and I’m part of the team here at Ambient.ai.

I’ve been in the physical security world for over two decades, starting from hands-on installation and operations and moving into technical sales and evangelism.

My real passion is helping organizations understand and embrace the transformative power of new technology.

Here at Ambient, I get to focus on just that, specifically how computer vision and AI are fundamentally reshaping the future of physical security for the better.

Brent Kennedy (BK): I’m Brent Kennedy, the Director of Security Operations at SentinelOne.

My team is responsible for protecting our employees and assets across the globe.

I’ve spent over 20 years in security and logistics, with leadership roles at companies like Meta and Target, and I also served as a US Army officer in Iraq.

My job is to ensure our security posture is not just robust but also intelligent and efficient, which is why I’ve become a strong advocate for leveraging next-generation AI to stay ahead of the curve.

Can you provide an overview of the main themes you will discuss in your webinar?

JR: Certainly. Our discussion is titled ‘Smart Evolution’ for a reason.

What is the main takeaway you want listeners to get from the webinar?

BK: For me, the key takeaway is that this isn’t just theory, it’s a practical and achievable reality.

I was skeptical at first, coming from the traditional model of GSOCs and security staff watching video walls.

The main message I want to share is that AI is a force multiplier that allows you to do more with less, with greater accuracy and speed.

We run our entire global security operation with a team of four.

That’s only possible because the AI gives us the situational awareness we need, filtering out the noise and alerting us to the 2% of events that actually matter.

It’s a genuine game-changer that has allowed us to shift from a reactive to a truly preventative security model.
