BigID, a data intelligence platform that enables organizations to know their enterprise data and take action for privacy, security and governance, has announced the appointment of Tyler Young as the new Chief Information Security Officer at BigID.
Young will oversee BigID’s security programs to protect customers, employees, systems and assets – leading a team that includes cyber and product security, incident response, risk management and internal compliance.
“Data security and risk management is a critical element for all data-driven initiatives and organizations,” said Dimitri Sirota, CEO and Co-Founder of BigID. “We’re thrilled to welcome Tyler with his expertise and leadership across cybersecurity, threat intelligence and data protection strategies, as we continue to drive innovation and enable data-centric security solutions for our customers.”
Prior to BigID, Young held roles as the Head of Security at Relativity, building out Relativity’s security program, Calder7. He adds additional cybersecurity and strategy expertise from roles spanning across insurance, government agencies and incident response services. He also serves as a Board Member on Glilot Capital’s Security Advisory Board and an advisor for several early-stage Security startups, including Axiom and Cider Security.
“BigID is leading innovation in data-centric cybersecurity and data management,” said Young. “I’m thrilled to join a security-first company that continues to drive innovation and accelerate security strategies for enterprise data.”
