Corsight AI, a facial recognition solutions provider that offers the highest NIST-ranked Western-based technology, has welcomed Dr Maya Dillon as VP of Growth and Innovation. Following positions with Microsoft, Luxoft and Simudyne, a degree in Astrophysics and a dedication to making science and technology more accessible for women and ethnic minorities, Dr Dillon joins the Corsight team prepared to spearhead how facial recognition can be deployed as a force for good.
Dr Dillon has an impressively diverse professional background, at first pursuing a career in academia before moving into the corporate world. Following retraining as a data scientist, she has worked on some of the world’s leading AI projects. Now VP for Growth and Innovation at Corsight, Dillon is focused on ensuring the company continues on its path to become the most ethical facial recognition solutions provider. She will be responsible for new business development, looking to improve Corsight’s awareness in multiple verticals, alongside working with newly appointed CPO and ex Surveillance Camera Commissioner, Tony Porter, to ensure the technology evolves and is applied correctly.
“Some people believe that facial recognition is a technology which removes people’s civil liberties, but we are making ourselves accountable and being very transparent in how we utilise and apply this ground-breaking technology”, comments Dr Maya Dillon. “Corsight’s facial recognition is cutting edge and I can see its power as a force of good, with the many ways in which it can benefit society. From finding lost people and helping with addiction; there are a lot of positives that people tend not to talk about with facial recognition. I can see that it is an innovative technology with a real human potential.”
Rob Watts, Corsight AI CEO commented on Dr Dillon’s appointment: “Maya is a leading expert in AI and brings a wealth of knowledge into the business. Her passion for the technology and helping to further its cause is infectious and she will help us break into new verticals whilst ensuring our software retains its market-leading status. I’m excited to welcome her on board.”
