Everon revealed the expansion of its remote video monitoring portfolio with an enhanced active video monitoring service.

According to the company, the new service is designed to deliver proactive threat detection and response for commercial environments at its UL-Listed redundant monitoring centers.

By leveraging existing camera systems and infrastructure, the solution enables real-time intervention to help deter unauthorized activity before incidents escalate.

When suspicious behavior is detected, whether indoors or outdoors at a protected facility, Everon monitoring agents can activate lights and audio alerts, issue personalized voice warnings, and if necessary, dispatch authorities or guards – ultimately helping prevent crime and ensuring a faster, more effective response across a wide range of commercial applications, Everon added.

“True peace of mind”

David Charney, Senior Vice President, Video for Everon commented: “This is a truly differentiating service offering that builds on a long-standing industry trend – harnessing the power of video to enable a more proactive approach to customers’ security programs.

“After all, why have cameras if nobody’s watching them? With active video monitoring, businesses can supplement traditional alarm devices to enhance protection and help reduce false alarms – or in some environments, use it as an effective alternative – by relying on our monitoring experts for advanced threat detection and deterrence, after hours and around the clock.

“It’s a level of active monitoring engagement that delivers true peace of mind, protecting your properties and assets by helping to prevent unwanted activity and facilitating a more effective response if an incident occurs,” he concluded.

Features

Everon expressed that its active video monitoring solution delivers comprehensive protection and operational flexibility, offering features such as the ability to:

  • Monitor outdoor cameras by trained Everon agents, who can quickly activate lights, strobes, audio deterrents, and two‑way voice to reduce vandalism, loitering, property damage and incidents of non-ferrous metal or copper theft
  • Choose to monitor only critical areas or expand coverage across the entire property – even in remote locations – by adding cost‑effective pole‑ and building‑mounted solutions that deliver functionality similar to mobile trailer services, including optional solar‑powered and cellular‑connected capabilities
  • Utilize existing cameras and video infrastructure to minimize upfront costs
  • Receive system health alerts for offline devices, plus basic remote troubleshooting support
  • Detect after‑hours intrusions in indoor, vacant, or unoccupied spaces using modern AI to help reduce false alarms, deter break‑ins, and verify on‑site activity
  • Access full audit trails and incident reports for all acknowledged alarms
  • Benefit from upcoming access management reporting across protected sites, offering insights into speaker activation and deterrence effectiveness

Applicability

According to the company, the solution has broad applicability across a wide range of commercial spaces and use cases, including:

  • Commercial building interiors after hours
  • Industrial and manufacturing spaces
  • Warehouses and distribution centers
  • Rooftops, alleyways, and loading docks
  • Fenced-in yards housing critical assets or inventory
  • Retailers or commercial sites with specialized or high‑value inventory

The company highlighted that its active video monitoring solutions expands on its growing set of remote video monitoring services, which includes video tours, help-assist response, video alarm verification, video audits, video escort and more.
