Alcatraz AI, a provider of autonomous access control solutions, has announced its updated and improved pricing, which the company says paves the way for the industry’s first cloud-based facial authentication-as-a-service (FAaaS) model.

• Comprehensive cloud package: Alcatraz AI says it is offering a complete package starting at an all-in-one price of $79 per secured opening, per month and includes hardware, software, updates and warranty. Billed annually, this pricing ensures that businesses have access to the latest version of Alcatraz AI’s technology to future proof their security posture, including a technology refresh after five years with a subscription renewal

• Premium features: by adopting Alcatraz AI’s cloud-based access control solution, the company says enterprises gain access to premium features that enhance security and convenience, such as web-based Mobile Enrollment, which allows users to be invited via email to enroll in the Alcatraz AI solution using most technology devices with a front-facing camera. This empowers users to enroll on their own device at a time convenient for them, while enabling thousands of employees to be enrolled in minutes. Additionally, the solution features tailgating detection and alerts, providing an additional layer of security against unauthorized access attempts, which are the leading cause of physical breaches and some of the most difficult to detect. Integration with the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) video standards further allows for more detailed forensics at the time of incident
