FF Group has introduced CAMMRA AI 1.2.1, the latest version of its advanced, AI-based solution for ARTPEC-8 cameras.
According to the company, this release represents a major step forward in recognition accuracy, system integration and operational reliability.
Improved recognition accuracy
The company emphasizes that one of the most significant enhancements in CAMMRA AI 1.2.1 is the expansion of its vehicle recognition capabilities.
With more than 300 new vehicle classes added, the total number of supported models now exceeds 4,600.
This update includes a more precise classification between SUVs and pickup trucks – a crucial improvement for markets like the US, where pickup trucks are widely used and require differentiated detection.
In addition to this, CAMMRA AI now supports 11 new car makes, including several popular Asian brands and commercial vehicle manufacturers.
These updates allow for more accurate MMR results in both standard and region-specific applications.
On the license plate recognition side, this release introduces better handling of new and special formats across several regions.
Integration possibilities
CAMMRA AI 1.2.1 also brings important integration upgrades, FF Group says.
It now supports Genetec Security Center (via a third-party ALPR plugin), enabling the transmission of license plate, make, model, color and vehicle type data into existing workflows.
Additionally, CAMMRA AI now integrates with 2N IP intercoms, sending license plate data directly for enhanced access control and security applications.
The update includes push event improvements with support for authentication using a username and password.
It also introduces the camera MAC address into VAPIX events, offering additional data granularity for advanced system configurations.
