With a full ecosystem of cloud-based apps, on-premise devices and solutions driven by AI, Hanwha Vision gives security professionals the highest level of flexibility for managing their surveillance resources.
From the newly launched DMPro and SightMind solutions that combine AI and cloud capabilities to the SolidEDGE camera system and Hanwha’s own WAVE VMS, Hanwha Vision is helping organizations protect their operations, address specific business challenges and generate meaningful and actionable insights to drive informed business decisions.
DMPro and SightMind
Launched in November 2024, DMPro and SightMind are key elements of Hanwha Vision’s goal of accelerating its transition into a platform-centric solution provider.
Both enable more intuitive and efficient management of video surveillance systems and support effective data-driven decision-making.
DMPro provides device maintenance and system health monitoring capabilities, leveraging the cloud to help system integrators maintain their deployments no matter where they are.
DMPro delivers near-real-time notifications to users when their camera deployments require attention.
DMPro can either be deployed as a standalone system using the DM Bridge software or directly integrated with WAVE Sync to pull in information from cameras and Wisenet WAVE VMS systems.
Through DMPro, customers can effortlessly keep their cameras’ firmware up-to-date and maintain the highest cybersecurity practices.
SightMind AI metadata visualization software harnesses the data already being generated by the embedded edge AI analytics in Hanwha Vision cameras.
The software processes the metadata and presents it through customizable widgets and charts in a visualized dashboard.
Users can gather data from multiple cameras and sites to generate valuable business insights to support data-driven decisions that can impact the success of their entire operations.
SightMind software also offers a view into statistics that optimize the customer experience, increase productivity and enhance profitability.
SolidEDGE
SolidEDGE is the first true serverless camera system with onboard Solid State Drive (SSD) storage and an embedded WAVE VMS server.
This unique cloud-managed solution addresses the need for efficient, scalable and cost-effective surveillance solutions for businesses of any size requiring multi-camera recording, remote access and on-premise security system management.
Each SolidEDGE camera can connect and record up to five additional cameras, bringing the total number of cameras per EDGE system to six, including the original SolidEDGE camera’s video stream.
This allows organizations to easily expand and scale their surveillance systems according to their specific security needs.
The SolidEDGE system can be merged with other SolidEDGE systems, up to 30 servers, through WAVE Sync for additional flexibility.
This feature enables remote access and management of on-premise security systems.
WAVE Sync also keeps the system up to date with regular software and security updates.
For example, if a local or regional franchise has three or four locations, they can now connect them and view each through a unified platform.
If users want to change recording settings for one camera, or set up and reconfigure analytics remotely, they can do that because it’s all visible through the WAVE VMS and the WAVE Sync architecture.
The technology behind SolidEDGE also continues the industry’s shift to the cloud.
For example, a user might have one camera recording locally on the edge to an SD card that is either cloud accessible or simply pushing video to the cloud over time.
The SolidEDGE solution is unique in that, while most systems are focusing on edge recording by itself or the cloud, Hanwha is doing both by putting the VMS on the edge.
The unique addition of WAVE Sync allows easy cloud-based remote access and system expansion.
Or, as a single location store grows and expands to multiple locations, SolidEDGE grows along with it.
Each site can still have its one primary SolidEDGE camera at the register, and then for the additional cameras, the user can perform a “merge.”
Through the cloud, the solution connects multiple sites together into one system.
Depending on the use case, they could all be viewable through one pane of glass in the WAVE client, which has a cloud layout that can bring multiple servers into one layout view.
WAVE
Finally, Hanwha’s own WAVE VMS platform has continually evolved to meet customers’ changing needs, adding new features to expand its range of applications, a mobile app for remote system management and the ongoing development of the WAVE Sync portal, which allows users to login from anywhere, share access to their surveillance system or view their resources surveillance resources through one dashboard.
The latest WAVE Version (5.1) added several key enhancements including cross-system navigation, layouts and alerts; improved full text search; and bulk system log collection.
The latest addition to the WAVE ecosystem is an AI plug-in, compatible with specific Hanwha server models and capable of enabling AI analytics on cameras without embedded analytics features.
AI analytics with object classification provides users with enhanced security, improved operational efficiency and valuable business insights.
