Integrated Control Technology (ICT), a manufacturer of intelligent access control and security solutions, is celebrating twenty years of securing people and property.
Founded by Hayden and Rachael Burr on 15 October 2003, ICT has grown to become a globally recognized pioneer of security technologies.
“My vision was a unification of access control, intrusion and automation,” said Hayden Burr, CEO of ICT.
“The key part was to make it simple. We designed something that could handle intrusion, access control or building automation independently – but shows its true power when combined.”
Today, the company secures tens of thousands of properties around the world, with the global headquarters, R&D and manufacturing in New Zealand and offices in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and Hong Kong.
“The business is focused on solving customer problems 100% of the time,” added Burr. “This has been the driving force behind the evolution of our hardware and software over the past 20 years.”
Further growth for ICT
According to the company, 40% of its New Zealand workforce are dedicated to research and development.
Significant investments have been made to drive market innovation, with further expansion underway in North America and EMEA.
“Exciting developments are on the horizon,” concluded Burr.
“Our new cloud-based access and security platform Protege X includes the latest cybersecurity protection, offering complete scalability and unified management.
“You can also expect to see several new releases as ICT embarks on further growth in 2024.”
