Iluminar has welcomed Dr. Ron Martin as the company’s new critical infrastructure security consultant.

In this role, Dr. Martin will work directly with Iluminar clients to conduct risk-informed security planning, strengthen facility protection and access control strategies and integrate physical and cyber safeguards in high-consequence environments.

With expertise across physical security, cybersecurity, identity management and access control, Iluminar says Dr. Martin brings a blend of strategic insight and real-world experience.

Dr. Martin is a retired US Army officer whose career spans federal government leadership, law enforcement, higher education and standards development.

He previously directed the Identity, Credentialing, and Access Management (ICAM) programs for two federal agencies and contributed to the Federal ICAM Roadmap that guides identity security across government.

Today, Dr. Martin is the CEO of Consullition, a physical and cybersecurity consultancy, and serves as a Doctoral Chair and Adjunct Professor at Capitol Technology University.

“One system”

Critical infrastructure security is notoriously complex, involving cyber and physical protections that have to work as one system,” said Eddie Reynolds, president and CEO of Iluminar.

“Dr. Martin understands both sides of that equation, which is why we are thrilled to offer his guidance to the integrators and end-users who trust Iluminar to protect their facilities.”

“Reliable power, lighting and surveillance are the foundation of critical infrastructure security, which is why I’m excited to work with Iluminar and their customers,” said Dr. Martin.

“They provide the resilient infrastructure that critical sites depend on, and my role is to help customers integrate it into a broader security strategy.”
