Nate Manning has been named Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Global Field Operations of Johnson Controls.

According to the company, Manning will lead functional excellence across its global field organization of more than 50,000 employees.

Serving more than four million customers throughout 150 countries, Manning will oversee all elements of Global Field Operations including strategic oversight and operational execution throughout installation, services, parts, central operations, integrated service delivery and operational transformation.

Manning joined Johnson Controls in January 2019 as the North America Vice President and General Manager, HVAC and Controls and later led North America Field Operations. He most recently held the role of President, Building Solutions North America.

Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Nate spent nearly 30 years in various global senior leadership roles in the Aerospace and Utility, Power Generation and Distribution industries with The AES Corporation, General Electric and Eaton. In these roles, he was responsible for profit and loss, product management, engineering, commercial, manufacturing, procurement and field execution.

Manning holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Dayton. He is also a graduate of GE’s Operational Management Leadership Program and the Corporate Audit Staff and is a certified Master Black Belt.
