Knightscope wins $1.25 million contract with Rutgers University

Knightscope, Inc., a developer of autonomous security robots and blue light emergency communication systems, has announced that it has received a $1.25 million contract from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

According to the company, the contract is for its K1 Blue Light Towers and K1 E-Phones, with signed purchase orders for 145 devices in total.

Knightscope highlights that Rutgers stands among America’s highest-ranked, most diverse public research universities and is the oldest, largest and top-ranked public university in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.

It has been using Knightscope’s emergency communication devices since 2022 and has been slowly expanding its footprint of the blue light towers throughout the year. This latest purchase of 138 Towers and 7 E-Phones will be used to blanket four campuses with reliable emergency communications for students, faculty and visitors.
