Can you tell me about yourself?

With over two decades of experience in product development and leadership in the video surveillance and access control sectors, I’ve had the opportunity to guide companies through transformational growth.

As the CEO of ComptonTech, my mission is simple: to help businesses develop sharp strategies and create actionable plans that fuel growth, increase operating income, and, most importantly, stay laser-focused on the needs of their target markets.

What sets me apart is my casual, hands-on approach, combined with an unwavering passion for innovation, technology and leadership.

Why did you decide to create ComptonTech?

The security and tech industries are evolving rapidly.

We are seeing shifts in sales channels, the growing influence of AI and connected systems, and increasing demands from end users for more automation and intelligence from their systems.

In addition, the workforce landscape is changing, with companies seeking specialized talent on a project basis rather than full-time hires.

I founded ComptonTech to help businesses keep pace with these changes.

We bring expertise in video surveillance and access control methodologies, helping companies leverage technology to streamline operations and deliver more automated, intelligent solutions to their customers.

With a robust network of partners, we accelerate product development, improve operational efficiency and boost brand visibility and sales.

What are your plans to grow the company?

In the coming 12 months, our focus will be on expanding our product development and marketing teams to offer pre-packaged, customizable solutions that help companies integrate AI and cloud-managed systems into their portfolios more swiftly.

These solutions will cut development costs and time to market for our clients.

We’re also developing training modules to equip sales and business development managers in the security sector with the latest tools, techniques and lead generation strategies.

Our goal is to help companies accelerate innovation, reduce time to market and ultimately boost their top-line revenue.

What do you think makes a company stand out in the security industry?

Companies that focus on the end user and the installer throughout the design process truly stand out.

Reducing complexity and simplifying solutions isn’t easy, especially when there are so many features and configurations to consider.

It starts with understanding how the system will be used, who will install it and the challenges users have faced in the past, and then building features that simplify those complex tasks.
