Jon Raper has been promoted as the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Costco Wholesale.

Raper will be responsible for ensuring global cybersecurity posture and protecting the IT infrastructure of the firm. He brings with him over 15 years of experience in the security industry having most notably held roles at Oracle and Walmart.

He served most recently as Associate Vice President, Deputy CISO at Costco and his other previous roles have been within the technology, retail and government sectors.

Raper served as a Special Agent in the US Secret Service; Director of Security Incident Response at Walmart; and Senior Director of Global Information Security at Oracle.
