Global sensor manufacturer OPTEX and unified security solutions provider Genetec have announced that they will be joining forces at the International Security Expo to demonstrate the latest in advanced perimeter protection for high-security sites.

International Security Expo takes place at Olympia, London from 28-29 September, bringing end-users, government, industry and academia together to discover the latest technologies, products and services that can improve their security operations. Representatives of OPTEX and Genetec will be present on Stand F43 to demonstrate how the integration of OPTEX’s high-security LiDARs and fibre optic sensors with Genetec Security Center enables enhanced intruder detection and tracking to prevent, detect and respond to an attempted perimeter breach.

Genetec and OPTEX have worked as strategic partners for more than ten years, ensuring that the data and analytical capabilities generated by OPTEX’s multitude of sensors can be intelligently viewed and interpreted within Genetec Security Center. The innovative integration unlocks a number of advanced features exclusive to the Genetec platform that are critical for restricted security area surveillance.

David Lenot, Critical Infrastructure Practice Lead at Genetec, says: “We rely on close engagement with our technology partners to ensure we can deliver the highest standards of advanced perimeter protection to our users. We’re delighted to be working closely with OPTEX whose innovative sensor technologies have revolutionised what is both possible and cost-effective for organisations to deploy.”

Tomohiro Tsuji, General Manager at OPTEX, adds: “Together with Genetec we can truly offer a layered approach to perimeter security, providing heightened intelligence and situational awareness before, during and after an attempted intrusion occurs. We look forward to demonstrating how our respective innovations combine to improve the overall security of critical infrastructure against unwanted incursions.”
