PassiveBolt and LEGIC Identsystems will showcase their use of SSI technology to activate EV charging stations through verifiable credentials in digital identity wallets at ISC West 2024, taking place 9 – 12 April at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.

By leveraging KeyShare (PassiveBolt’s digital identity wallet and SSI platform) and LEGIC’s security modules capable of processing verifiable credentials, the companies say that this application paves the way for broader adoption of SSI applications for improving user experience, privacy and security.

Credentials for EV charging stations

Following this successful integration, PassiveBolt and LEGIC say that they are now ready to support further applications of their developed SSI library for LEGIC’s hardware:
