QinetiQ US has announced the appointment of Tom Vecchiolla as President and Chief Executive, who succeeds Shawn N Purvis.
Tom Vecchiolla
- Vecchiolla is a defense industry veteran who has more than 30 years of experience
- He joins QinetiQ US after serving on its Special Security Agreement Board since April 2024
- His career spans military service, public sector leadership and defense industry executive roles
- Vecchiolla spent 22 years as a US Navy Pilot and DoD Acquisition Professional before transitioning to public service as National Security and Military Affairs Advisor on the US Senate staff
- He later joined Raytheon Technologies Corporation (RTX), where he served 15 years in his role as President of Raytheon International
