Rapiscan Systems, a supplier of security inspection systems, has launched the 935DX, a new model within its growing line of ORION X-ray screening systems.

According to the company, the 935DX, among the largest tunneled conveyor systems on the market, is primarily designed for screening air cargo and pallets.

By positioning its primary generator centrally under the conveyor, in combination with a proprietary, U-shaped detector line, operators can obtain extremely accurate images, with the correct aspect ratio, regardless of an object’s orientation or position on the conveyor belt.

Rapiscan says it has also designed the 935DX with no installation or service access required from above, so the system is well suited for facilities with low overhead space constraints such as those found within many air cargo facilities.

“We are continuously adapting and evolving our technology and screening solutions to stay ahead of our competitors. Our new ORION 935DX has been purpose-built to deliver precise and accurate information to operators, enabling them to act quickly,” said Ted Alston, President at Rapiscan Systems.

“Rapiscan Systems products and solutions keep customers at the forefront of industry performance and technology with high value, easy-to-use solutions.”
