The new Secustos SQ 80 LEGIC wall reader from sesamsec, specialists for access control solutions, is a keyboard-free device suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Access control

According to sesamsec, the new wall reader from the Secustos line is made of high-quality materials such as glass and metal.

As a result, it can not only be used indoors, but also reliably fulfills its task in demanding outdoor areas in all weather conditions.

With its flat design and high-gloss white finish, the keyboard-less SQ 80 LEGIC has a minimalist design, the company says.

This makes the access control device ideal for all areas of application where high demands on function and aesthetics must be met.

Flexibility and security

The Secustos SQ 80 LEGIC supports multiple technologies: with an integrated LEGIC SM-6300 Security Module, it processes almost all known LF and HF contactless technologies at frequencies of 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz as well as NFC-HCE or BLE-based mobile phones credentials.

In addition to the LEGIC Connect mobile credentialing platform, the Secustos reader is compatible with the following transponder technologies: LEGIC advant, LEGIC prime EM, Hitag, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire and HID-Prox.

sesamsec says that OSDP is available as an interface, which ensures encrypted data communication for maximum security.

In addition, the readers are equipped with a proximity sensor for convenient and safe handling by the user.

Integrated future-proof security

sesamsec highlights that the devices in the Secustos line are all future-proof. Regular firmware updates are provided by the company and configuration changes are possible to meet current needs.

The flexible assembly enables easy installation – Secustos is supplied with tried-and-tested screw terminal technology and optional mounting and mounting frames and can therefore be mounted on a flush-mounted box or surface-mounted.
