Sting Alarm has announced its acquisition of Shield Fire and Security, a Las Vegas-based residential and commercial fire and security business founded in 2009 by John Verville.

According to the companies, Sting Alarm will gain all Shield Fire and Security customers and immediately begin servicing during the transition.

“We are pleased to expand our residential and commercial customer base with Shield Fire and Security,” said Jon Perry, Sting Alarm President. “John built a great company at Shield and we are excited for the opportunity to service these new customers into 2023 and the future.”

This is the company’s third acquisition over the past six months. In June 2022, it purchased Signal Fire, a Las Vegas fire protection focused on service excellence. In July 2022, its also acquired Nexsys, a commercial integrator in Las Vegas which specialized in the design, installation and management of security systems for businesses.
