Teledyne FLIR, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, showcased its new cameras and multilayered security solutions at ISC West. The company says it is expanding its portfolio of visible cameras by launching its first family of visible security cameras with AI, the FLIR Quasar Premium Mini-Dome AI.
The new product is available in three models – 5 MP, 4K Wide and 4K Narrow – and all options feature 12 unique analytics to detect people, vehicles, objects, attributes and events.
The company says that for the 4K Narrow option, the AI detection distances are 152m (499ft) for vehicles, 71m (233ft) for people and 25m (82ft) for faces. Both 4K models also have additional lens options: varifocal 4.5 to 11mm (40.4° to 110° HFOV) as well as varifocal 11 to 28mm (15.5° to 38.5° HFOV) for longer distances and wider fields of view.
The FLIR R-290ÂÂ radar was paired with the fixed mount FH-Series ID camera and pan-tilt-zoom FLIR DX-Series camera, both of which feature thermal sensors and 4K imagers. According to the company, the radar and cameras together substantially improve early threat detection beyond the perimeter fence line, intruder tracking and outdoor area protection.
