David Antar, industry veteran and President of ViewScan, the developers of the ViewScanAI “single pane of glass” software platform, tells SJA about the new company.

Can you tell me about ViewScanAI and your offerings?

ViewScanAI is a comprehensive AI-powered event management platform designed to enhance facility safety, optimize operations and reduce costs.

ViewScan uses advanced AI and machine learning (ML) to sort through the “noise” and bring real-time critical events to trained human operators.

Events can come from cameras, sensors, access control, intercoms, drones or smart building technology.

Uniquely, our browser based “single pane of glass” runs on the edge, pushing events to the cloud or can be run on-prem.

ViewScan’s suite of services includes ViewScan Protect, Entrance Manager, Delivery Manager and Gatehouse Manager.

The suite includes our Cloud and OnPrem solution, Connection Manager and our award-winning ViewScan Metal Detector.

They are coupled with advanced analytics including facial recognition, human detection, license plate recognition (LPR) and gun detection built into the platform.

What are the benefits of ViewScan Protect along with ViewScan Entrance Manager?

ViewScan Protect is our virtual guarding service which prioritizes events to our operators or to the end user’s operators.

We create RMR for our dealers and utilize ex-military and Disabled American Veterans to staff our command center.

Entrance Manager provides a unique experience with two-way encrypted video to provide a concierge-like experience for facilities or gatehouses.

When combined with our suite of analytics, ViewScan optimizes security by proactively detecting potential threats and tracking visitors in real-time.

ViewScan Protect reduces costs by improving operational efficiency by ensuring resources are being used effectively.

What kind of markets and industries do you serve?

We serve every vertical market with a specific use case for each:

• Healthcare: Enhancing security in hospitals, clinics and healthcare facilities while ensuring the protection of sensitive areas
• Education: Providing security solutions for schools, universities and campuses, safeguarding students, staff and infrastructure
• Corporate offices: Offering robust security and Internet of Things (IoT) smart building for corporate environments, protecting employees and company assets
• Mixed-use properties: Ensuring security for properties that combine residential, commercial and retail spaces, including multifamily HOAs
• Construction sites: Monitoring construction zones to reduce theft, ensure personnel safety and protect equipment
• Government buildings: Safeguarding against a variety of security threats

What are your plans for ViewScanAI later in the year?

Although we initially laid the groundwork for ViewScan in 2005, it took the advancements in processing power, AI, ML and GPUs to make it the right-time and right-place for implementing our vision.

Our 2025 initiatives include onboarding a variety of dealers worldwide and security guard firms.

Anything else you’d like to add?

Having been a successful entrepreneur with 12 startups, nine of them in the security industry, gives our team a unique perspective on the future.

To quote Wayne Gretsky “A good hockey player plays where the puck is, a great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be”.
