ToggleCan you tell me about yourself and your role at STI?
As President of STI, a global leader in fire, safety and security solutions, I am committed to empowering our team to deliver products that enhance safety and security worldwide.
Over the last seven years, I have held various increasing leadership roles before taking my current role in February 2021.
Prior to STI, I spent 20 years in manufacturing and possess a diverse skill set, ranging from industrial mechanic and maintenance supervisor through to legal operations and finance management positions.
This hands-on experience, combined with my four years in public accounting, has uniquely prepared me to address the complex challenges facing our company.
What makes STI stand out in the market?
Without doubt, it’s the combination of the STI brand heritage and first-class reputation for product reliability, expertise and quality.
As the original pull station cover manufacturer, we bring over 40 years of continuous innovation, refining the manual pull station protector and adding a number of fire, safety and security-related products to the portfolio.
We remain a privately owned, family-run company with a global reach.
You’ve recently released your new multipurpose push buttons; can you tell me about these?
To maintain the company’s position as a competitive and dominant global leader, STI has made a significant leap forward with the introduction of our new G3 and GF Multipurpose Push Buttons with an optional IP camera.
These groundbreaking and versatile signaling devices allow for access control, fire and intrusion detection to work together.
The G3 and GF buttons with an IP camera option can significantly help enhance a building’s security by combining physical access control with visual identification of a user.
This helps improve security, accountability and convenience by capturing video of individuals interacting with the button and monitoring their movements before and after pressing it.
Additionally, the mere presence of the camera serves as a deterrent, as individuals are aware they are being monitored and are less likely to push the button unnecessarily.
Engineered with durable polycarbonate, the low-profile push buttons combine robustness with a sleek, modern aesthetic, which ensures both functionality and visual appeal in any setting.
The G3 series is unique in that it provides customizable options with the choice of six colors, standard or custom labels, button activation types and with or without a protective cover and optional warning horn.
This helps empower facility operations with reliable performance and easy installation, ensuring seamless integration into a user’s system.
We are excited to watch this innovative series help to shape a new chapter in our industry.
What are STI’s plans to grow in 2025?
In 2023, we embarked on a comprehensive, five-year strategic growth plan.
This plan outlines a bold vision for STI’s future, including the introduction of new products.
Our dedicated team is diligently working to execute this plan and we are confident that 2025 will be a year of significant growth and achievement for STI.
