Zenitel America’s Regional Sales Leader for the South-Central Region USA & Mexico highlights market differences and what makes the company stand out.

Can you tell me about yourself and your role at Zenitel?

I’m the Regional Sales Leader for the South-Central Region USA & Mexico for Zenitel Americas, and I’ve been in this role for 21 years. I often tell others how much I love my job and that it is not work for me, it’s a passion.

I enjoy helping our community of integrators, architects, end users and strategic alliance partners. I am a devoted husband and father, and I’m also an avid fan of my hometown San Antonio Spurs.

What solutions does Zenitel provide?

Zenitel provides intelligent critical communication solutions – IP Intercoms, Public Address, Voice Alarm and IP speakers.

Through our Unified Critical Communication approach, we bring together technologies into one cohesive communication ecosystem that supports operational assurance, safety and security across facilities worldwide.

What makes Zenitel stand out in the security industry?

This year, Zenitel is celebrating its 125th anniversary. The Zenitel journey goes back to when long-range radio communications were used on the Titanic.

I take much pride that our solutions have stood the test of time and that today’s solutions are future ready for tomorrow.

In today’s world of audio solutions for security, it’s not about how loud something is, it’s how clear it sounds. Our audio intelligibility is unmatched in the industry.

We use a perfect blend of hardware, software and mechanics to ensure that our products deliver the most realistic-sounding and crystal clear audio available.

Specifically, our active noise reduction, acoustic echo cancellation and automatic volume/gain control features ensure super audio quality in every solution.

I am also proud of our new Zenitel Connect Pro, which is our new platform for communication with third-party integrations. Zenitel Connect Pro has set a new standard as a cyber-secure, unified critical communication solution.

When it comes to our cybersecurity strategy, it is built in; it’s not bolted on. We recognize the complexity of today’s cyber threats, so we have cybersecurity embedded at the core of our products and corporate strategy.

How does the Mexico market differ to the US market and how are you growing it with Zenitel’s solutions?

Mexico is a very attractive growth market. In many parts of Mexico, organizations place greater emphasis on physical security due to concerns about theft, unauthorized access, vandalism and protecting people.

This drives demand for integrated security systems and it’s where our audio solutions play a critical role.

I’ve been working hard in Mexico to establish relationships, attend new security events and extend our established US partner ecosystem there.

I’ve also been targeting key vertical markets where Zenitel’s strengths align well, which creates a demand for our audio solutions.

Many multinational companies operate facilities in both the US and Mexico, so I’ve been taking advantage of those synergies to grow our sales there.

Overall, my role is to not only expand existing customer relationships across borders but also to position Zenitel as the trusted provider of unified critical communication solutions that help people hear, be heard and be understood, in any situation.
