SJA’s Editor Victoria Rees reflects on the MOBOTIX Americas Partner Conference, held on 26 – 28 April in Nashville, Tennessee.

It was fantastic to see so many experts and security professionals gathered at the Hilton Nashville Airport Hotel for the MOBOTIX Americas Partner Conference, held in April 2023.

Over the three days we were in Nashville, myself and the other attendees learned about the exciting developments happening at MOBOTIX, heard about what solutions could be applied to some of the biggest challenges faced by the industry and also got the opportunity to network and build relationships with one another.

Alongside Security Journal Americas (SJA), some of the other exhibitors at the conference included the Security Industry Association (SIA), Tiger Surveillance, System Surveyor, IPTechView, Cloudastructure and many more.

During breaks from the talks and sessions, attendees got the chance to speak with the exhibitors – to learn more about them and discover how they can help to improve or enhance their security.

Starting discussions

After a Welcome Reception the evening before, day one began with an introduction by Thomas Lausten, CEO of MOBOTIX. Lausten discussed the company’s corporate strategy and vision, highlighting the reasons by MOBOTIX is chosen by its customers. He also spoke about what is next in store for the company and how it is going from strength to strength.

One of the highlights on the first day was the elevator pitch session, where each of the exhibitors at the conference got 60 seconds to briefly summarize their organization or business. Standing up on stage, it was a real pleasure to introduce SJA to those in the audience who hadn’t heard of us before and to put a face to a name for those who had.

The Roundtable Sessions on the first day were also a pleasure to listen to, as manufacturers, integrators, installers and senior security professionals all contributed to the conversation about how to overcome specific challenges and the multitude of opportunities presented by various security solutions.

After wrapping up with some closing words from Phillip Antoniou, newly appointed Chief Sales and Marketing Officer (CSMO), we were ready for the next day of the conference.

Strengthening partnerships

Day two started with an introduction from Christian Cabirol, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who gave his first speech in the Americas at the conference since joining the company. Cabirol explored his plans for MOBOTIX in 2023 and beyond within his new role.

After more networking opportunities, there was also the chance for questions at the end of the day, as Lausten, Cabirol, Antoniou and David Brown opened the floor to the attendees, answering any queries they had.

Parting thoughts

It was a pleasure to also have an early introduction to MOBOTIX SYNC, an intelligent on-premise solution that can be used to collect, visualize and utilize data in a smart format, which will be fully launched soon. According to the company, consolidates decentralized data in a central place and makes it usable.

MOBOTIX SYNC collects data from cameras, filters relevant information and displays complex datasets as a dashboard. The company highlights that this can be used to automate processes to reduce efforts and costs.

“As we continue to grow and expand our business in the Americas region, we are proud of the robust partner ecosystem we have developed and invested in,” said Antoniou.

“Our commitment to strategic investments allows us to provide our customers with data-powered solutions that meet their unique needs and challenges. We understand that success is not achieved alone and we are committed to fostering strong relationships that open opportunities for our partners and channels.”

At the MOBOTIX Americas Partner Conference, new connections were made and previous networks were strengthened. By the end of the conference, there was a feeling of renewed possibility.
