Verkada has announced a range of updates to its Command solution, deepening the integration of its Verkada Guest and Verkada Access Control platforms.
The company says that when a visitor checks in with Verkada Guest, organizations can provision a temporary access badge with bespoke permissions, or they can send a door unlock link that enables a visitor to open authorized doors directly from their phones.
Each credential is time-bound and matched to the visitor’s needs.
Verkada customers can manage all occupants – both employees and guests – in emergency situations from a single tool.
Further improvements
The company also announced several improvements to its access control solution for large-scale deployments, including support for third-party OSDP door readers and two new APIs that automate access control operations.
“Today, Verkada’s platform controls access for more than 3.7 million users and checks in more than 1.5 million visitors every month,” said Brandon Davito, Senior Vice President of Product and Operations at Verkada.
“We know that security starts at the door, so we’ve made significant investments in our platform that will both strengthen and simplify the entry experience for our customers – especially for organizations managing access in enterprise environments.”
Verkada also unveiled additional product and platform updates, including:
- More flexibility and functionality with Verkada Alarms
- Broadened video search tools
- Continued commitment to interoperability
- Even more flexible security deployments
- Enhanced privacy features
- Streamlined management for organizations operating at scale
- Expanded line of next-generation Dome cameras
