According to new reports, weapons detection systems from Evolv Technology are being deployed to enhance safety in the New York City subway.

As outlined by CBS News, Mayor Eric Adams has ordered the installation of the systems at a few select locations.

The solutions are being utilized to combat random acts of violence seen on the subway.

The news outlet highlights that the Mayor has not yet been revealed which stations will be the first to use the system.

However, once the stations have been chosen, this information will be released to the public.
