Xtract One Technologies has announced that its SmartGateway patron screening solution has successfully passed testing conducted by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for effectiveness and suitability.

TSA validation

The company says that as a result, it has earned a spot on the TSA’s approved security sensor product list for 2023.

This verification by both the TSA and APL signifies the SmartGateway system’s adherence to documented specifications and its performance across various applications.

Ensuring safety

Xtract One says that its cutting-edge SmartGateway system discreetly scans patrons for prohibited items, such as guns and knives, as they pass through a venue.

Additionally, the solution is designed to enhance security in large, ticketed venues, so enables high throughput while ensuring privacy and comfort through the use of AI-powered sensors.

“The rigorous testing demonstrates our commitment to meeting the highest standards of security technology,” the company said in a statement.

“It is worth noting that rigorous third-party validation is also a requirement for technology vendors serving professional sports leagues like the NHL, NBA, MLB and NFL.”
