Supplier of intelligent critical communication solutions, Zenitel, has announced that it is now a full member of ONVIF.
Promoting standardized interfaces for effective interoperability of IP-based physical security products, the organization provides membership that is open to manufacturers, software developers, consultants, system integrators, end users and other interest groups.
Ensuring compliance
Zenitel says that it has been a contributing member of the organization since 2010.
All Zenitel TCIV+ intercom stations are ONVIF Profile T and Profile S conformant.
Additionally, Zenitel’s audio-only devices, from its Turbine range of stations, kits and IP Speakers, are ONVIF compliant where the organization addresses audio.
“ONVIF conformance is beneficial to our business and our customers, as it allows our solutions to be discovered by other conformant video management systems,” said Lars Paulsson, Executive Vice President, Zenitel Safety and Security.
“We believe that interoperability should be a cornerstone of every security solution, regardless of brand and we are thrilled to now be a full member of ONVIF and to participate in its new Audio Streaming Profile Working Group.”
Zenitel says that it is excited to participate in the Audio Streaming Profile Working Group that will define a profile for the interfaces and communications mechanisms for configuring and integrating audio speakers and intercom devices.
