Omnilert has announced that its gun detection solution has been deployed by the Baltimore County Public School District (BCPS) to enhance school safety.

The company says that its Omnilert Gun Detect software is an AI-powered visual platform that can be used to identify active shooters and gun violence.

According to Omnilert, the district will integrate the gun detection software with its 7,000 existing cameras.

This solution will turn these cameras into 24/7 monitors that can spot a brandished weapon in less than a second and then once verified, can instantly activate a robust emergency response plan that could include calling police, notifying students and staff, locking doors and much more.
