Seam, a US-based provider of a hardware agnostic access control platform, has announced the release of an integration with intercoms from 2N.
Connecting systems
According to company, the integration now allows for the connection and control of 2N intercoms and access systems to the Seam platform via the API and Seam Space Dashboard.
This provides the ability to unlock doors, edit resident directory and retrieve entry events. Most 2N intercom models come with a built-in camera and that integration to the camera feed will be part of its broader Universal Camera API anticipated to be released later in Q3 of 2023.
The integration goes through the My2N cloud. The company says that credentials to My2N will be required as well as the on-prem unit to connect with.
Features
The company says that to start, open the Seam Space dashboard and navigate to “+ Linked Account”. Select 2N as the provider. Then, enter My2N cloud credentials and Seam will then retrieve all devices which will be presented in a list.
Select the devices that need to be connected and a login screen will then be presented for each project as each on premises device will have its own login credentials.
Once the devices are connected, the integration will provide the ability to unlock the door, edit residents, retrieve events and eventually tap into the camera feed of the device.
Seam will expand this integration over time to include additional features like the ability to tap into the video feed.
