Vicon Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Cemtrex Inc., designer and manufacturer of video surveillance and access control products, has recently appointed Ray Still as Vice President of Engineering.

The company says that in this new role, Still will help transform the vision and strategy of Vicon’s R&D teams and will lead the global design, development and management of the company’s products. Under his lead, the company’s Engineering, Quality and Test Departments will be focused on delivering the right products – at the right time.

Roles before Vicon

With over 20 years of experience in software architecture, software development and agile processes, Vicon says that Still is a seasoned technical leader in the video surveillance industry. During his career at Pelco, Schneider Electric and Motorola, he has held many positions, including Software Engineer, Chief Systems Architect, Director of Advanced Technology, VP Global Engineering and most recently Senior Director, Product Development.

“My passion is deeply rooted in building, organizing and leading skilled software teams in creating innovative products and services,” said Still. “I’m excited to help build a world-class team that’s focused on emerging technologies.
