ICT’s Protege Wireless Lock range is now available in North America.

The company highlights that the Protege Wireless Locks enable property managers, building owners and developers to provide a modern multifamily living experience.

Available in cartridge mortise and motorized deadbolt form factors, the new Protege wireless locks
include customizable reader covers, rose and handle options in a variety of popular finishes.

Compact and minimalist in design, ICT says that the range can be styled to complement the aesthetics of any multi-dwelling unit.

“To thrive in this competitive market, property managers must deliver an exceptional living experience that aligns with the evolving expectations of tenants,” said James Ensten, Vice President of Sales ICT USA.

“A unified Protege ecosystem can deliver seamless movement from the parking garage, foyer and elevator, right to the individual unit door with a single credential.”

Multifamily access

The company highlights that the Protege Cartridge Mortise removes visible lock hardware on the door by encasing all electronic components inside the door itself, providing an elegant solution for unit or commercial door security.

The Protege Motorized Deadbolt is ideal for both retrofit and new build applications and is provided
with a mechanical key override for emergency openings.

Both options support data-on-card offline operation via DESFire smart card and Bluetooth/near-field communication (NFC) mobile credentials as wireless locks.

They’re natively integrated with Protege GX to enable installers to deploy locks at speed and
operators to manage the entire property from within a single ecosystem.

With lock hardware assembled in the US, the range is purpose built for the North American market and complies with all relevant standards.

“In the race for resident retention and profitability, staying attuned to the latest trends is key,” added Ensten.

“Modern renters now expect the same level of convenience, high-tech amenities and security in their apartment buildings as they do in other aspects of their lives.

“We are excited to share this new range of locks with our partners to provide a truly unified ‘perimeter to penthouse’ experience.”
