A new report from ResearchAndMarkets says that the global market for X-ray inspection systems is estimated to reach $1.4 billion by 2030, increasing from $757.2 million in 2022.
The report highlights that the market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.7% over the forecast period.
X-ray inspection system segment growth
Digital imaging, one of the segments analyzed in the report, is projected to record a 7.9% CAGR and reach $833.5 million by the end of the analysis period.
Taking into account the ongoing post pandemic recovery, growth in the film-based imaging segment is projected to increase at a 7.4% CAGR for the next eight-year period.
Growth around the world
The report also says that the X-ray inspection systems market in the US is estimated to have been worth $221.5 million in 2022, while Canada is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 6.1% over the 2022-2030 period.
